The Arawak Hotel soon became a representation of Jamaica's Golden Age of hospitality in the 50s, according to Travel Noire. In 1991, the resort joined the Sandals brand and became Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa until 2020.

Dunn's River Falls is about a 25-minute drive from the Ian Fleming Airport.

Re: Dunns River Falls -- climbing in crocs? If they have straps that hold the foot in tightly they should be OK. Personally I would not wear my Crocs to climb the falls without the strap.

DO WEAR Tevas, Chacos, or Keen-type water shoes or sandals that are made for this type of terrain. Sandals are fine as long as there are straps over the toes and around the heels to prevent your feet from sliding around once they're wet. DO WEAR Running or athletic shoes that can get wet & muddy.

Especially the 7-7-7 deals are popular to get discount upon discount. If you're looking to cut costs, it might be more effective to book outside of peak season, which takes place around mid-December to mid-April. Outside this period, you will find more availability and lower room rates.

Generally speaking, shoe size and sandal size tend to be the same, but since sandals fit differently, you may find that sizing up from your standard shoe size is the route to go. Otherwise, ensure that the base of the sandal fits your foot shape (no spillage or shrinkage).
